Easter...

4:15 AM - It is dark...probably more people are going to bed than are getting up. Regardless, we roll out of bed to dress for the day. Painfully, we try to warm up our voices for the early morning "Sunrise Service" that we are to lead music for.

5:07 AM - We are loaded into the truck and on our way. We listen to worship music and talk very little. It's early.

5:15 AM - Practice. I sure can't sing very high at o'dark early!

5:30 AM - Through the drizzle of the morning, people actually start to show up for the service, rain-coats & umbrellas...ready for the weather.

5:55 AM - There are a lot more people here than I ever though would come, especially considering the drizzle.

6:00AM - 6:45 AM - The service commences and plays itself out. Pastor John, in his usual energetic passion tells of that first Easter morning when Mary & Martha discovered the empty tomb. He is RISEN. I am energized for the day. Renewed passion for Him flows in me and I cannot wait to continue the celebration.

7:00 AM - Bravo Burger Breakfast. There is nothing quite like a breakfast burrito with good friends early in the morning.

7:50 AM - Arrive at APU, set up for the service. Seems like a smaller venue than last year. Need to be careful of getting in too much of a routine...focus on the purpose and lyrics.

9:30 AM - Greet people. Our family is there. Some friends came that we invited and we are excited to see what will happen.

9:54 AM - Service starts...lots of energy in the room and we trust the Lord to move in hearts. He does. Lots of commitments and renewals of faith. One of our friends renewed her faith...we'll continue to pray.

11:36 AM - Service ends and clean-up begins. Fun times...

12:16 PM - Rossow has to go in to work...we wait for her at church.

12:29 PM - Rossow gets there, gives us a salad (for lunch later at Stacy's parent's) and woefully goes off to work.

12:52 PM - Rossow calls, she was sent home! On her way to join us for lunch.

The rest of the day we spend at the Burns house watching movies, eating food, stuffing ourselves (it feels almost like Thanksgiving!). Playing Nertz. My sister is really good at games; probably because she had to work hard to beat 3 older siblings growing up...she's really good. Had such a good time.
